Amorphous hydrophosphate titanyl TiOHPO4.nH2O in powder and granular form has a low resistance to hydrolysis, particularly in continuous operation, high temperature conditions, etc. Active carbon KAU-TF (impregnated with titanium phosphate) is devoid of this disadvantage, is effective in removal of radionuclides 137Cs, 134Cs, 90Sr and 60Co etc. from compositionally different liquid environments.

Carbons cation exchangers (Carbons cation exchangers, DSTU 2335-93, GOST 30357-96) designed for purification of drinking water from ions of heavy metals, and (acting as selective hemo- and enterosorbents) for removal from, or vice versa, for the injection of micro – or macro cations into the body.

Due to use in the development of original technological solutions, carbon hemosorbents have a highly developed pore structure and increased (in comparison with the analogical materials) strength of granules. Their BET surface area Ssp = 1600-2400 m² / g, the pore diameter is within the range of 2 — 40 nm.
